3rd pre-registration – Sophie Faguet joins the Globe40 2028–2029!
After taking part in several transatlantic races in double-handed and crewed formats, and as she currently prepares for the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe 2026, Sophie Faguet is taking the next step in her sailing career with a project that will take her around the world.
With the Globe40 2028–2029, she aims to set off on a journey of discovery around the globe, meeting new cultures and sailing across new oceans, while carrying a message that is close to her heart: inclusion, gender equality and solidarity.
“After several transatlantic races with a crew of three and double-handed, as well as this Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe 2026 project, which I have been working on intensively since 2025, I want to set off and explore the world.
I want to meet people from other cultures and sail across other oceans, while carrying our message of inclusion, gender equality and solidarity.
I would like to bring L’Arche en France, its communities and this enthusiastic community that has been growing every year and supporting our adventures for the past three years on board with me. We want to broaden our horizons with humility, curiosity and a desire to learn together.”
